Calling all hopeless romantics! Today’s post comes from our styled photo shoot that we had the pleasure of shooting last month. Shot by photographer, Lauren of Carolina Green Photography, styled by Wedding Designer, Cory of Bells Box and set in a serene nook of the woods just north of Charlotte, North Carolina, this shoot is laced with whimsical romance, a little bit of playfulness and some pretty amazing flower pieces.
Spoiler Alert, there are special guest appearances from the cutest bunnies…
ABOUT THE SHOOT
There is just something so magical that happens in the Carolinas when the air turns cooler and the leaves start to change. Our season changes are some of my favorite things about living in this part of the South and this Fall is topping the charts after a long and steamy summer.
The second that the cool air hit my skin, my wheels started turning and I knew that with the help of a few friends, we would be able to recreate a timeless story with our own twist to it. Insert a woodland backdrop, a raven haired beauty & her prince, two of the most breathtaking dresses, along with vintage table pieces and a cameo from a sweet little bunny, and soon we had all of the pieces for our Woodland Snow White Photoshoot.
With a gorgeous backdrop nestled deep in the woods, we didn’t need to compete with the natural beauty of our setting and the fall foliage. Instead we complimented this with some fantastic floral pieces, understated yet magical dresses and couple of beautiful people. We wanted our non-traditional brides to be able to draw inspiration from this shoot as well as give them the opportunity to see some handy DIY’s for their own day. Tutorials on the flower crown and that gorgeous cake (Yes, that’s a DIY Cake!) will be coming soon.
While our color palette stemmed from darker hues and berry colors, we wanted to showcase the fact that your day doesn’t have to be consumed with themes, color palettes and decor. We love the idea that by mixing textures such as thistle and berries in your bouquet, a touch of different lace styles, and maybe a little bit of bunny fur, you can spend your day enjoying your love story rather than being consumed with worrying about every color and piece of decor fitting into place.
I could wax on poetically about how in love I am with just about everything from this shoot but I will just let our awesome vendors and amazing photography tell the rest of the story….
Full disclosure, we ALL (even our groom!) wanted to take a bunny home after this shoot! We couldn’t be more thankful for our amazingly talented vendors that helped create this.
